If you've mostly used web apps, here's the short version of what that means.
You install it once from the Chrome Web Store. It opens in a tab like any page — there's no separate software and nothing to maintain.
Nothing to register, no passwords, no licence keys. Install it and it's ready — the first time and every time after.
Staff records are stored in your browser's local storage. No cloud, no servers, no third parties — nothing is transmitted anywhere.
No settings, no configuration — you're tracking within two minutes.
Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click "Add to Chrome". That's the whole install.
Chrome keeps new extensions behind the puzzle piece, top-right of your browser. Click it and you'll see GVTrack in the list. Tip: click the pin next to it to keep GVTrack visible in your toolbar.
Click GVTrack, then "Open Tracker". The popup also shows your team's counts at a glance — total, pending, action required, completed.
The tracker is a full page, like any web app you're used to. Bookmark it and it's one click away every morning.
Three things happen from here — one of them is yours, two are automatic.
Open Bulk Import, paste straight from your spreadsheet — name, staff ref, date of birth — pick a group, and import everyone in one go. Tracking IDs can be added later as invitations arrive. Up to 30 people per paste.
Statuses are checked automatically at 10:00, 14:00 and 17:00, every day. It reads the same public NVB status page you'd check yourself — just without you doing it. Need an answer right now? Check All runs everything on demand.
When a scheduled check finds a change, you get a Chrome notification — and the tracker shows exactly who moved, from what to what. Miss a day? A "since your last visit" summary catches you up when you return.
The same page you already check by hand — GVTrack just reads it on a schedule. It never submits, changes, or sends anything.
Its only permissions are the vetting status page and its own update check. It can't see your other tabs, history, or accounts.
Export everything to CSV whenever you like. If you uninstall, export first — data lives only on your device, so removal deletes it.
